This is massive for #CanPL as it helps maintain the CCL as the premier continental competition over Leagues Cup. Hopefully this can be scheduled right after the end of CCL final so that teams can maintain the narrative of the cup run and retain the same players that qualified.

CONMEBOL / Concacaf launching a “final four" style club competition: two from each confederation will qualify through existing tournaments, and the two confederations are working towards the first edition of this new competition being played in 2024.

Trivia time: my FIFA meta is to have a starting squad made up of Canadians or teammates of Canadians. The Bayern crew is obvious, as is Donovan (himself Cdn) and Bale. But can folks figure out the other four (Cahill; Schweinsteiger; Matthaus; Carvalho)?
