Day 1 -1.5 hours after surgery
The surgery lasted a little under 2 hours and I awoke at the recovery room with what appeared to be a dozen other patients. I was feeling restless and stressed as we were accompanied by 2 crying children, no doubt frightened by the experience. Their parents were brought in, but the crying continued. I was feeling hazy but could feel no pain given the numbness and medications. Swelling was not too horrendous at this moment.
After a delay, I was moved to my hospital room. At the room, I was greeted by my mom. She remarked that dr. Farber said the surgery was a great success. My jaw does not require being sealed shut though it will require elastic. Feeling a little tired but I am otherwise fine. My neighbor is apparently a glass blower.
