Day 7.

Went in for my postop checkup. Although the doc said I was some 4 weeks ahead in terms of recovery, he did still put on elastics. The elastics are much tighter than I had anticipated. I can hardly open my mouth and will likely be on liquids for at least 1 to 2 weeks 🙁

Night update: wow, I absolutely hate elastics. It’s so tight, it’s almost beginning to hurt. And while, earlier I was able to open my mouth slightly, my jaws have gone weak after trying so hard. Eating dinner was a nightmare as my jaw bit down pretty tightly on to the syringe. This is actually worse than the first couple days after surgery. I really hope they take these off soon.
